My Christmas Wish List

1.let me start with the cheapest item in my list, a cath kidston case for my blackberry. i already have a case but it's black and this one is red and merry, just like my red blackberry.( or visit bicester village)

2. a swarovski angelic pendant to match my earrings( or visit the shop in MK)

3. eversince a friend introduced me to Longchamp handbags, i never looked back. i used to buy inexpensive sometimes cheap handbags or sometimes, just because of the brand name and in less than i year, i get tired of them. they become out of style. with Longchamp, aside from its durability, it already is a classic design in itself. i also love the fact that it has a wipe clean material. it also is very spacious that i can fit my kitchen sink inside. i already have two, i want more in every color.besides, a girl can never have too many Longchamps.right, kate?(

4. chanel and dior cosmetics which i am obsessed with lately. most of the time, expensive equals to better quality but not all the time. but with these brands, it really is equal to very good quality.(
5.Samsung Galaxy tab. i am not so sure why this one is on my list. i don't like touch pads that's why i opted for the blackberry instead of the iphone. it could only be that i want internet access on the go all the time. my blackberry actually has internet access all the time,WIFI even but then bigger screen is always better. why the tab instead of the ipad?because it's smaller that it fits in my small hand. gift vouchers.i need to relax.need i say more?(
7.daphne chair.i have always been a fan. i admire her television work and her being ambassador for unicef. plus the fact that she juggles all of these by being a hands on mom to her 3 girls. i lusted for her daphne i want her will look good in our living room.only available in rustan' effecient santa would send it straight to england.
8.the price is ridiculous for just a candle but they smell divine. that's why i wanted someone to give it to me. i could buy something else with my £40.(

What Christmas Is All About

I was surprised to see a nativity scene when we went to MK shopping mall last weekend. i mean, i don't usually see this during Christmas here in the UK since there are a lot of different religions around so it's best that they stay politically correct. but then, this is what Christmas is all about, the birth of Jesus, thus the "Christ" in Christmas.

Here, it's more commercialized. don't get me wrong, the spirit of giving (gift) is very much around but then it's  more about the christmas trees and tinsels and the snowmen and santa clauses. back home it's more about the midnight masses and the getting together and i'm talking about big ones like clan gatherings from grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins. first degree, second degree, third degree cousins.your grandparents' cousins, your  parents' cousins. i could go on and on. it's mostly about celebration of Christ's birth and celebration of family and friendships. That's why people could go up to 5-10 christmas parties during the season.

the number of people here is just the tip of the iceberg.circa 1996?

circa 2009
Nobody dreads Christmas back home. Everybody loves Christmas and this is what i want Ava to grow up to. I want her to experience the wonderful christmasses i had, surrounded by loads of family where everyone is outside being merry and not inside tucked under the duvet.

this week i'm buying...

ear muffs.because the winter started really early this year, i would need these babies to keep my ears toastie when walking from work to pick up my two year old from the childminder. this red burberry one is just divine but i will probably just get one from the high street. money is tight.

Thank you, husband.

these babies arrived on tuesday, just two days before my birthday. this pair is my DH's birthday present and i adore them. i am so into shoe boots lately that i acquired two pairs in the last 3 days. the other pair is my birthday present to myself. i haven't broken into them yet and i can' t wait to debut them probably this sunday. now all i have to think about is the outfit.

The Real OC

my almost two year old has a habit of putting things in order. i think she got my OCness. if there is such a word.

she always puts her rubber ducks side by side in the bathroom after she takes a bath...
and she stacks her plastic cups after she brushes her teeth. without being told. i did  not know, being OC is hereditary.

beauty buy

since i ran out of my day moisturizer, i have been wanting to buy and try clarins. the thing is you can't always buy this product anywhere. it's normally just available in debenhams. so on the weekend that we visited mk shopping center, i made sure i buy one. i was lucky because they have a promo on that day. with one skincare product, you get for free, a mascara, beauty balm and facial exfoliator. i have used the moisturizer for a week now and haven't seen any dramatic changes to my skin. i spent a fortune on this product and it works just as good as my cheaper alternative Olay day moisturizer which even comes with spf 15.  if by the time i finished the pot and i don't see any major changes then i'll go back to my ever trusted Olay moisturizer.

lesson learned. just because something is expensive does not mean it is good. though i swear on my Chanel foundation.

Instant Starbucks

who wants starbucks coffee in the comforts of their own home? that person would be me. so i got really excited when starbucks people sent me this freebie consisting of 3 sachets of their new VIA ready brew. that means i won't have to go to the nearest starbucks which is about 30 minutes drive.all i have to do is add water. tried it the next morning and the smell in the kitchen is like i had coffee brewing. the taste was good but not the same as the one you get from the in house barista. i have read somewhere though that they are coming up with flavored ones like vanilla, mocha and caramel. maybe these ones are better. i am a sucker for flavored coffee. i love nescafe's flavored coffee and my all time favorite is Costa's hazelnut latte. but that would be another story.
