London: Up close And Personal

The London Bridge Hotel

The four year old little girl has toured Singapore and Lisbon but has never toured London which is just on our door step. We have done day trips to London but a day will not be enough to do every thing that we have planned to do. Decided to book an overnight stay and after extensive search and visits to Trip Advisor, we finally found the one.

The London Bridge Hotel is located just across The Shard, round the corner from Borough market and just a few minutes walk to Westminster where Big Ben and the London Eye is located.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. It is modern and contemporary. Just my kind of hotel.

The bed was so comfortable, so were the pillows and duvet. The air conditioning was perfect. It was so quiet. We all slept like a log.

I am particular with cleanliness especially in the bathroom and it passed my standards.

The White Company toiletries. Lovely.

Complimentary magazines

Complimentary fruits and bottles of water.

It was nice waking up to our own playlist.

Best of all, there was free WiFi,

It was a wonderful weekend in London Town with lovely warm weather made more special with the thought that at the end of the day, we are going back to a nice and lovely
hotel.

What's In Your Handbag

I have written a post about what's inside my handbag here and previously run a series in this blog about what's inside my friends' handbags here and here.

Now that my baby is four, so much has changed on what goes into my handbag. Most of the baby stuff are gone and what is left is just the packet of wipes. So I guess it is time to run a "what's in my handbag" post. In conjunction with moneysupermarket.com's comptetition, I am taking into account how much each of the items cost including my handbag.

I still use my Longchamp Le Pliage bags but of late, I have been using my DKNY handbag that I have not used for ages. I have decided to organise my handbag contents in smaller purse to make it easier for me to find things.

1. DKNY handbag £90 2. Marc Jacobs wristlet £60 to keep my cards in 3.Cath Kidston coin purse £5 4. Prada make up purse £100 5. Chanel lipstick and compact powder £25 and £38 respectively 6.iPhone 4s £449  7.Ipad £499

Drink Healhty

With the completion of our new kitchen (which needs its own blog post), I am now very keen to cook healthy meals for the family. New kitchen, new lifestyle, healthy eating in that sense. But I think it is not only healthy eating I have to think about but healthy drinking as well. We tend to forget that fruit juices might be healthy in a way but they contain a lot of processed sugar as well. Bad for the health and bad for the teeth as well, especially for my four year old.

I have vowed to make fresh fruit juices for the family, I mean we basically just have water but we have the odd fruit juice during the week.

I got this gadget from Ikea and it is great.

Here's to healthy drinking.
