I Want!

I have been eyeing the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers for the longest time. I have heard rave reviews about it and every celebrity make up artist has this. It has a cult following if I may say.

Then here comes the Chanel Precision eyelash curler...
Apparently, they work exactly the same and pretty much identical, giving you fabulously curled lashes. Price? the Chanel one is just a pound more expensive. So, what are you big C fans waiting for? I know I can't wait to get my hands on it and I don't even curl my lashes.

In The Bag

Aside from The Stage Mommy's Trendy Mommy series, I am presenting another one - In Her Bag series. Here I will present my friends' favorite handbags and what's inside them.
In every one of us, there is this curiousness about what each one of us carries in our bag. For the first ever series, I am presenting my dear friend Joysi.

She, whom I consider a fashionista long before the "fashionista" word has been coined. She, who 15 years ago, was already trawling specialist designer shops in Cebu when I would just normally go to SM department store for my clothes. She has this ecclectic sense of style and has always been fashion forward way before being fashionable was in fashion. Here's her Chanel and what's inside it.

Luton Hoo

For Father's Day, Ava and I treated daddy to a 5 star celebration at Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf and Spa.

"Built in 1843, this palatial mansion has played host to Prime Minister Winston Churchil during WWI and Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinbrugh spent part of their honeymoon in 1947 at one of its massive state bedrooms. The estate has appeared in films Four Weddings and Funeral, The World Is Not Enough, Eyes Wide Shut and most recently last year in Steven Spielberg's War Horse"(history found on the web)

The place obviously did not disappoint. In fact, I would like to go back. The French Toast was light as air and the Vienna coffee is perfect for any given morning.

The stroll around the estate is something to look forward to as well. It is very picturesque and a leisurely walk will definitely take your stress away. Well, it did for me.

Invitation To Shop

I received this morning an invite from Harrods. Well, I call it an invitation to spend money.

I would if I could but then money is tight right now. I will browse and see what's offered online but that's about it. At least, that's the plan. *wink* As the line goes "for everything else, there is Mastercard"

About Ava

I am really enjoying having a girl. I love the fact that I can dress her up with nice little outfits and she seems to enjoy it, too. Way before I gave birth to her, clothes, shoes and toys were sent from friends and relatives all over the world. I am lucky that I didn't have to buy most of her clothes, shoes and toys. We might buy an odd one here and there but most of her things are gifts. Even up to know, I am still trying to use some of the clothes that were given to her on her birthdays. I can say that she has a vast range of brand of clothes, so much better than mommy's. But the stage mommy is not a snob mommy, I let her wear anything, regardless of the brand. It's the quality that matters in my book.

About the Two Year Old

Lately, she has been asking a lot of questions. The first time she uttered the 3 letter word WHY, I thought, should I be scared now. Not just that, she has been really asking real questions. like "What are you doing, Mommy?, "What is that, Daddy?" My little girl has really grown a lot. It's cliche but it really seems like yesterday  when I first held her in my arms. A tiny little 6.2 lbs. bundle of joy. Soon, she will be our little school girl.

looking like a school girl in this dress.
On another note, I have finally started and almost finished my the third bedroom which we turned into her playroom. It has been a long time since we've wanted to make it into her playroom and we have finally done it but still unfinished. She loves it though and is always in it first thing when she wakes up and right before going to bed.

Still unfinished. Curtain needs changing to match the theme color.

Finally, a space to keep her books.

And a wall to put her artworks.

Stage Mommy's Trendy Mommy

As a part of my blog, I will regularly feature mommies who inspite of their being a mom still manage to look good and take care of themselves despite the fact that when you are a mom and a wife, your kids and husband always come first.

As they say, this is the generation of yummy mommies. The generation of multitasking women who manage to juggle family and career. Women who also bring home the bacon at the end of the day and yet, after a very long day, still look good and immaculate. As Kimora Lee Simmons would say, " fabulosity!"

Stage Mommy's very first trendy mommy in the series is a friend of mine who I always admire for looking well polished all the time. Someone who always looks like she made an effort but I bet she doesn't. She must just get out of bed and just wear whatever she sees in her closet and still look good. If there's someone who's closet (shoes and bag closet included) I would love to raid, it would be hers.

Stylish mommy Nenette Enage Belonta, mom to Nhean and wife to Nolan.

On Fashion:

What are your wardrobe staples?
It's worth stocking upon pieces that will always look great no matter the trend du jour.I always think versatility, longevity and everlasting appeal of simplicity, that is why basic plain colors wash clothes will always be in my wardrobe , for I do believe that the beauty of style, harmony and grace depends on simplicity of colors.

Do you go for high street, designer or both?
I would say both...but I always put in mind that the most important thing you can take anywhere is not a fashion of high street and designers expensive ideas..but how you carry them with grace.

On Beauty:
I would say "less is more".. ever notice how some of your friends look best with no makeup at all? No matter your age, too much makeup makes you look worse. If you wear foundation, powder, blush, liner, mascara, eyeshadow, lip liner and gloss on an everyday basis, then you're overdoing it. Tone it down: All you really need is a great mascara, concealer for blemishes and gloss. Add a pop of blush in winter...and oh  I am loving the softness of the creme de la mere moisturizer at present.but still true beauty is when you look into a woman's eyes and see what's in her heart.

On Being a Wife and Mommy:

Being a wife can be a challenge and one of the biggest roles that a woman can take on. It's easier to be loving during the early years of a relationship where everything is fresh and new. It takes commitment and dedication to remain loving in a long marriage, especially one where the busyness of daily life and children can be overwhelming at times.oh well, even if happiness forgets you a little bit, never completely forget about it...my Nollan and my long awaited Nhean always makes my day complete.
Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind let's you.what you believe, remember, you can achieve.

Thank you,Nenette for sharing your thoughts and some beauty secrets to me and to my blog followers (I do have some, you know). In my future posts, I will one day raid your bag and shoe closet. Now, on the lookout for my next stylish mommy.
